Who

Parents, guardians, and caregivers who want to:

Get more involved in their child’s education
Build their leadership skills
Be recognized and celebrated for their time
Step into leadership roles

What

By completing activities across four key areas—school involvement, leadership learning, community support, and storytelling—families earn badge hours and unlock special rewards.

Why

We know that when families are actively involved and empowered as leaders in their children’s education, students thrive, schools grow stronger, and communities become more connected. It’s about recognizing and celebrating the vital role families play and providing fun, meaningful ways to make a real impact.

Criteria

Complete at least one activity from each of the four categories:

After that, you're welcome to repeat activities, or choose something new from any category.

Attend an in-person Family Leadership Program or event

Help your school recruit families for leadership programs
Co-lead or support a family leadership event at your school or library
Advocate for family or student needs at a school board meeting

Share Your Story

Post on social media about what you learned from a FACE U video or training
Submit a short video, picture, or written testimonial about our programs
